My highlights range from the English-language graphic novel debut of Sweden’s Anneli Furmark in Red Winter, the appealing, colourful French-Chinese fantasy The Dream of The Butterfly, and Eddie Campbell’s unbridled gallop through the tumultuous boom in America’s newspaper cartooning and comic strips, notably on the sports pages a century or more ago, in The Goat Getters.
